Ludendorf was himself an advanced eventer and a Grand Prix dressage horse. He has sired top level performers in all 3 Olympic disciplines, a number of licensed stallions, and countless brood mares.

Furioso II was Champion of his stallion testing. He produced over 200 state premium mares and 68 approved sons. From 1979-1989 even after death, Furioso II was the # 1 stallion in Germany based on money earned by his progeny. In 1990, he was still the leading sire of dressage stallions.
