Savannah Brentnall was kind enough to send us an email to let us know what Phox by Phantast has been up to. Phox was Dressage Assn of Southern California reserve champ at second level in September (2011), and has now started third level. We're doing our first freestyle next year. Savannah tells us "He's great to train--very smart and willing. He has great gaits".
Congratulations Savannah and Phox!

Irene Warner was kind enought to send photos of her 2 daughters
competing this summer. The top photo is Andi Warner aboard Phlight Plan
(barn name Ozzie) a 2002 Oldenburg gelding by Phantast out of Leyla by Lehndorff
in the dressage phase at CIC* Rebecca Farms. The photo below that is
Andi's sister Sam, riding a full brother to Ozzie, Phlying Solo (barn
name Jack), a 2006 Oldenburg gelding by Phantast out of Leyla by Lehndorff in Pretraing at MRS T.
Owner/rider Lisa McLean sent us some pictures of her exceptional gelding Lancelot by Lehndorff.
She reports "We earned our silver medal last year and then earned a few
scores at I-1. Now he's also jumping some as an equitation hunter.
What a horse! Here are a few images for you of his show ring smile for
the camera, and his show ring bow at the end of the afternoon."
-Lisa
Thanks for sending in the photos Lisa!
Owner Stephanie Kallstrom, owner/rider of her stunning 1998 Oldenburg mare Precidia by Phantast, was kind enough to sent us this lovely photo of Precidia competing in the hunters.
Stephanie said this about the mare "Precidia was a premium foal and has
been competing in the A circuit hunters in Canada and the US. She took
me from the Short Stirrup Hunters to the Adult Amateur Hunters. She
has several champions and was 3rd with BCHJA for the Short Stirrup
Hunters. Her presence turns heads and intrigues the audience. Last
year at the High Desert Classic in Bend OR, she was nothing short of
automatic. She is so simple and so honest you couldn't ask for a
better horse. Precidia is truly a ribbon winner and has many championships
in the hunter ring." -Stephanie
Colleen Egger, owner of the lovely 2001 Oldenburg mare Pandora by Phantast, show name "Arabesque", sent us this lovely photo of Arabesque competing at Spruce Meadows this past spring.
Arabesque placed well and received, two 2nd's and a 3rd in the open
1.0m and won an open 1.10m class! (the 1st and one of the 2nds was won
in a jump off)
Congratulations!!
**Pandora has been sold!!**
Pamela Pentz, owner of the lovely Oldenburg approved stallion Rodioso, sent us this lovely picture of Oliver by Phantast.
Oliver is owned by Valorie Osterman, Pamela is the trainer, & the
rider in the photo is Margaret Odom age 17. They were 9th place at the
Unites States Dressage Championships in June '08 in the Junior Division
and also a Region 6 Team member for the Jr/YR of North American (also
9th place team).
What I would like people to know is Oliver is a twin (both survived) and stands around 14.3ish!!
Pamela reports: "he can jump the moon, but is a fantastic mover and is almost the PSG now".
Who says ponies can't compete against the big horses!!
Owner Erica Hass was kind enough to send us these stunning pictures of
Kenobi by Lehndorff a 16.3h 2000 Oldenburg gelding out of the TB (xx) mare Emporor's Lady.
Erica
says this about him, "He is a phenomenal mover and jumper. I don't
think I've ever ridden such a good mover as him, we are consistently in
the top 2 for our hunter under saddle classes, winning them outright
more often than not. This last year we competed in the Adult Amateur
Hunter Division (3' hunters) and had great success. For the year end,
2008, we were Zone IX Adult Amateur Hunter 18-35 reserve champion and we
were Adult Amateur Hunter Champion for the year for our Oregon Hunter
Jumper Association. "
Kenobi is for sale. Please contact, Oz Incorporated (just south of Portland,) 503-651-3418 or ozinc@yahoo.com.
I know these pictures have little to do with horses, but nonethless they deserve to be under "Favorite New Picture".
For those of you who are not from this area, or have never been here,
this will give you an idea of the world class beauty that exists in our
back yard. These were taken this past summer ('08) about a 5 minute
helicopter ride from Lillooet.
For our son Sawyer's 16th birthday, we took him up in a helicopter to
get a bird's eye view of Lillooet. These pictures are in a valley called
Texas Creek, where there are many sitings of Grizzly and black bears.
The lake, which is inaccessable by vehicle, is refered to as Maligdanite
Lake.
Linda deBoer of Blue Moon Stables, owner of Lunar by Lehndorff currently competing at 3'6"-3'9" jumpers, is featured in this lovely picture, jumping with room to spare!

The owner of Pandora "barn name Piper" sent us a picture of her 2001 16.2h. mare by Phantast, showing us how she is growing up.
This mare was bred by Lynncrest Farm.
Jane reports that Piper has been under saddle and in professional
training for 6 months & is currently doing Training/1st Level
dressage and basic hunter/jumper schooling. She is showing talent in
both disciplines, has very expressive gaits and shows great form over
fences. Extremely lovely with a kind nature.

"In June 1999, I bred my Thoroughbred mare by Lucky Colonel S. to
Phantast and was blessed with a very beautiful colt the next May. He
was chestnut with lots of chrome and a super little guy, whom I called
Phantastic Luck, or "Tic" for short. He grew up out back in the pasture
with his half sister and a couple other horses. As I was away at Olds
College, I advertised him for sale as a three year old and he was sold
to a lady in Vernon. ..... To my great surprise I was contacted by a
Savannah Brenthall from LA in August 2006, as she had just bought "Phox"
for piles of money and wanted to know his history! She sent me pictures
and I cried when I saw what he could do in the dressage ring, under
saddle! Savannah and I have kept in contact for the last six months and
I recently got back from visiting her and Phox in LA. She absolutely
loves him and he has the perfect life. He gets ridden five days a week,
loves what he does, and is a completely happy horse. She feeds him
carrots by the bucketful, and he looks amazing. The best part of the
whole trip is that he remembered me!! I am so impressed by him that I
am breeding my mare by Waldkoenig (half sister to Phox, same dam) to
Phantast and can't wait to see the resulting cross! For more pictures of
him, you can check out my website at: http://www.hillsidewarmbloods.com"-Robyn

me. Denver is on his game" --Larissa
