 LEHNDORFF is an
outstanding 16.2 hand imported Oldenburg stallion who was personally selected
and ridden by Olympian Robert Dover. He successfully completed his one hundred
day stallion testing in Germany where he achieved very good scores for character & temperament. He beat 42 stallions finishing in the top
25%. He then went on to produce a record high selling filly in Germany who sold
for 120,000 DM. As a sire, LEHNDORFF has produced
outstanding foals in Europe and North America that are now competing
successfully in all disciplines.His foals exhibit the kind temperament, noble
conformation and exceptional basic gaits rarely found.
LEHNDORFF'S
pedigree represents some of the finest bloodlines in Europe. His sire LUDENDORF comes from the excellent
Hanoverian bloodlines of the Celle state stallion LUGANO I.LEHNDORFF'S maternal grandsire
is the legendary FURIOSO II who is
regarded as the stallion of the century in modern Oldenburg breeding. PRECIPITATION XX is also found in
LEHNDORFF'S
pedigree. Many of his descendants have become World-Class Sport horses such as:
Do Countain(grand prix jumper), For The Moment(grand prix jumper), Melton
Mowbray (jumper), Wily Trout(British Olympic dressage horse) and Big Ben
(Olympic grand prix jumper).
LEHNDORFF'S
dynamic expression he exhibits in all three gaits and his marvelous rideability
made him a very successful athlete in both DRESSAGE and SHOW JUMPING. In 1989,
he competed successfully on the Arizona jumping circuity with Hap Hansen.
LEHNDORFF has also
proven to be an excellent dressage competitor with many placing including: USDF
Reserve Champion, USDF third place Oldenburg Horse of the Year and CDS top
five.
